San Francisco Investment Advisors Lauren and Chris met at Claremont McKenna College and had been dating for 7.5 years at the time of the proposal. Chris proposed to Lauren on a Hawaiian vacation at the end of 2016, on the island of Kauai in the middle of a hike on the well-known, beautiful Kalalau Trail.

The wedding venue was the Sercu Family Estate in Rancho Mirage, CA which was incredibly meaningful to the couple and their families given it was the groom’s childhood home.

The theme for the wedding was casual desert chic. The color palette was tiffany blue, gold, and cream. The couple carried the desert chic theme throughout the wedding by choosing lighthearted country music for our ceremony and using a mixture of white florals with desert succulents by Arrangements Floral and Party Design.

The bride wore a strapless silk Marisa gown with lace trim. She paired the gown with a casual braided updo and elegant teardrop diamond earrings. The bride wore Toms ivory wedges, which made for an easy transition to the dancefloor.

The bridesmaids wore Show Me Your Mumu Dresses in Sea Glass Crisp. Each bridesmaid selected their own dress style, which is the beauty of Show Me Your Mumu. In addition, they donned gold Anthropologie necklaces that were their first name initials, which was a gift from the bride!

The groom’s parents escorted him down the aisle to My Wish by Rascall Flatts, and the bride’s parents walked her down the aisle to Shania Twain’s From This Moment On. The brides most memorable part of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing all of her family and friends in one place.

The Couple enjoyed an unforgettable honeymoon in French Polynesia, spending half the time at the St. Regis Bora Bora resort and the other half at the Hilton in Moorea.

It makes me so happy when our brides go with an untraditional look of a cocktail dress. So very desert chic.

Faith & David wanted a fun happy tropical wedding for their friends and family at the Parker Palm Springs on April 1! Custom napkins celebrated the day saying: “April Fools – Fall in Love!”.
After a heartfelt ceremony in front of the Moroccan Doors of the Gene Autry Lawn, guests moved through the doors into the expansive Great Lawn. To keep the cocktail area separate from the dining area, we created a large center bar with a pinwheel of bistro lights and mid century modern lounge furniture, and then created an illusion of a wall to block dinner by staggered open shelving with candles!

The dining and dance area was covered with an open tent frame from Signature Party Rentals filled with twinkle lights hung by Perfect Touch, creating a magical intimate space as the party continued! As dinner guests found their way to their seats they found small sprigs of lavender with their names on them, a beautiful contrast to the coral tropical floral arrangements from Maggie Jensen Floral Design.

The children in the bridal party stole the show not only during the ceremony with their matching frocks and hair wreaths, but also later on during dinner when they took to the dance floor! The adults soon took over and partied to the sound of Entourage from DuBois Entertainment! Fun, Happy & Tropical April Fools Day with a large dose of romance!

Seattleites Lauren and Michael were looking for a destination that would offer a reprieve from the rain! Palm Springs ended up being the perfect destination — easy for their guests to get to and plenty of sun, even in February. They knew we wanted a destination wedding from the get go — a perfect opportunity to plan a weekend of festivities with their closest friends and family.

The Invitation suite was printed by Minted and reflected their wedding colors and style through each element. Their favorite part of the stationary suite was the palm framed Save the Date card that invited their guests to “Join us in the Desert”. They wanted the stationary to reflect a fun weekend of festivities in a modern and elegant format.

Lauren was immediately drawn her dress by designer, Hayley Paige, because of the delicate design on the bodice of the dress. It had just enough beaded detail to make this a-line tulle gown modern and romantic.

All 7 of the bridesmaids wore the same black dress, also from Hayley Paige, to keep the look elegant and timeless. The back strap details added a modern touch to the bridesmaid look. The bride gifted each bridesmaid a pair of paved drop Nadri earrings to wear on the day of. Lauren_Micahel14Lauren_Micahel15

Michael’s nephew and niece were the flower girl and ring bearer for the wedding! The flower girl wore an airy tulle dress by Jenny Yoo and a flower crown made by Arrangements Design. The ring bearer wore a black suit & black bow tie to match the groomsmen. The flower girl carried a satin covered basket with white rose petals down the aisle.

Michael had 7 groomsmen. They wore black suits, white dress shirts, and black bow ties. Michael wore a suit by Hugo Boss with an accompanying Hugo Boss bow tie, Eton dress shirt, and a white Nordstrom pocket square. He wore gold monogrammed cufflinks that were customized by Lauren and gifted to him on the wedding day. Michael gave his groomsmen matching Hugo Boss bow ties and customized black socks that had their wedding hashtag on them: #HolyMatriNoly.

The bride and groom wanted the wedding to have a modern elegant vibe so they stuck with a classic palette of black, white, and gold accents. This color palette worked well against the desert and palm tree backdrop at La Quinta Country Club.

The brides favorite part of the wedding day was quietly escaping with their photographer team, Kathleen Geiberger Art, right after the ceremony to The Cove, about 10 minutes from the venue. Being in the desert, they wanted to photograph some newlywed moments against the natural scenery. This is where Katie and Trent captured their favorite photos of the day — the soft desert light combined with our ecstatic newlywed smiles was magical. It was the only point in the day where Michael and Lauren were able to steal a few moments alone together and celebrate their love.

Florals by Arrangements Floral and Party Design were the showstopper of the whole event.  The reception pavilion was adorned with market lights draped in delicate greenery. The couples favorite element of the reception area was the 6’ tall marquee letters that spelled out LOVE and served as a magical photo backdrop. COJ’s Angela helped create a seating chart and corresponding marble table signs that reflect the local and international destinations that Lauren and Micahel love the most.

I’m slightly obsessed with Hillary and Joey’s wedding at The Colony Palms Hotel. Our gal Luna at Arrangements Floral and Party Design knocked it out of the park with this one. How can you go wrong with coral peonies and burgundy garden roses? The Ombre petal aisle was a real eye-catcher. The blue and white china from Diswish plates really kicked it up a notch.  The naked cake by Pastry Swan looked so cute and tasted delicious too!

Our recent trip to Pioneertown has us reminiscing of this beautiful wedding back in 2018. Amanda and Sean married at Le Haute Desert Arie and reception followed at Pappy and Harriet’s. Don’t miss the photo at the end with the bride on a Harley!

We immediately fell in love with Megan Evans & Whitney Bacon when we started chatting on Skype to plan their wedding. Their love for each other was obvious over the air waves and we knew their wedding was going to be incredible. After meeting in London a few month later, we knew we had found life long friends and family!
Based outside of London, the British (Megan) and American (Whitney) couple are Social media darlings known as “Wegan” for their YouTube Channel and blog “What Wegan Did Next”  focusing on fem lesbian issues. Megan & Whitney are passionate about what they do, and about their relationship with each other, and it was a dream to create a magical evening for them at the Avalon Palm Springs!
Beautiful decor by Maggie Jensen Florals including pink roses, shimmering gold runners, lots of candles and chandeliers lent a romantic vibe to the long tables on the Avalon lawn.  After heartfelt toasts and an incredible meal, guests danced till midnight when the bridal party – including brides and mothers – would up in the pool!
