Megan and Whitney (Wegan as they are known to followers of their blog) have a unique, beautiful love story of how they met and came to be married.
“We first met online for a few years (thank you Myspace & Facebook!) and met in person when Whitney came over to the UK to study abroad in September 2008,” the couple shares in their about page on What Wegan Did Next. “We had never admitted to liking each other online but two weeks later on 5th October 2008 we were officially girlfriend & girlfriend. For the next few months we saw each other in Cardiff & London until it was time for Whit to sadly move back to Hawaii to finish her degree, and we embarked on 4 years of LONG distance.”
“After little debate, Alexandra and Dylan decided on a destination wedding in Palm Springs—“We’ve both loved it ever since we were kids,” says Alexandra. “And the Colony Palms Hotel is the perfect level of low-key beauty. The old-school California–meets–Moroccan-inspired design was the exact aesthetic we were looking for.” They embraced the surroundings, bringing in nearly 200 more lanterns and opting for greenery and citrus over tons of flowers. “We felt so lucky about having so many special people around us and wanted everyone to be able to get to know each other and have an easy, relaxing time in a beautiful setting,” adds Alexandra.”
“Cathy and Dorry of COJ Events had great ideas, and it was ultimately a team effort bringing the vision together. For our printed materials, we chose a white and gold foil dot card for the Save the Dates. We followed the theme with the invites, menu cards, and table assignments. We incorporated a deep black into the invites as well. Haley from COJ Events created big signs for each venue (ceremony, reception, and cocktail) named after favorite bands and songs. For example, the ceremony was The Doors, “Hello I love You.” Each table at the wedding was also named after one of our favorite music artists! We sat at The Prince Table.”
Emma and Will hail from the UK, so their Palm Springs wedding was quite the destination for their family and friends and they absolutely did it justice. We love their retro, 60s-chic vibe. From Emma’s bespoke BRIDAL COUTURE BY SOPHIE LOUISE dress, to the post-ceremony cruisers and amazing desert photoshoot, to the low-key poolside celebration at the Del Marcos Hotel, the aesthetics of this Palm Springs wedding are a celebration of yesteryear in the very best way.

“Our dream of making a true weekend out of the wedding absolutely came true. I had a specific vision for the wedding as far as the overall aesthetic and feel. COJ Events recommended ideas, vendors and made it all happen. They told us what would work well and what wouldn’t, and helped us craft the perfect weekend. Most importantly, the execution that COJ Events accomplished the weekend of the wedding was impeccable.”
“The famous Youtube darlings, Megan & Whitney of “What Wegan Did Next” finally said their “I do’s” and had one seriously glam wedding at the Avalon in sunny Palm Springs, California. With the help of COJ Events, their feminine and chic vision came together in blush, pink and gold for one glamorous affair to celebrate their forever together with their nearest and dearest in attendance.”
Scott and Parth planned a wedding day that both broke and embraced tradition simultaneously. Their three-day wedding weekend brought the beauty and culture of India to Palm Springs with vibrant color everywhere you looked. They pulled it all off thanks to COJ Events by their side, and you absolutely must make a trip to The Vault for all the festivities captured by Randy + Ashley Studios.
