In this time of working at home and staying in, it’s easy to feel that your wedding planning has been put on hold. Perhaps you had a dress fitting or menu tasting that had to be rescheduled, or a planned meeting with your floral and decor team that can’t happen for several months. Whether your wedding is next fall or in 2021, up to a few weeks ago you were in the midst of exciting planning and checking items off of your wedding task list. It’s easy to feel derailed and adrift when your careful planning process is off track. But there are still a lot of things you can do now - especially if you and your fiancé are homebound together!
Many couples are going through the heartbreaking process of deciding to postpone a wedding that they have been working on for months! I have spent the last few weeks comforting crying brides, talking couples off of the ledge and helping them strategize on a path going forward. This is not an easy time but it is not unmanageable! We will all get through this together and be hosting and creating amazing events later this year and in 2021. I’ve put together these tips for managing the process of rescheduling an event for either yourself or your clients.
